On May 12, 2016, the Newkirk Center for Science and Society presented an event entitled, How the Sony Walkman changed the world: A conversation about music, technology and public space. This event featured Rebecca Tuhus-Dubrow, UCI writer-in-residence, in discussion with Lucas Hilderbrand, UCI Film and Media Studies. The conversation was based on Rebecca’s forthcoming book about the Walkman.
