RJS introduces the 2022-2023 Newkirk Fellows. 10 graduate student fellows will partner with community-based organizations to produce and analyze scientific knowledge for the benefit of society. An integral part of theĀ Research Justice Shop, the fellowship offers graduate students a year of training and experience in community-based research with the goal of spanning boundaries between the University and community organizations to collaboratively address urgent social and environmental problems including air and water quality, racial and ethnic inequality and exclusion, and their intersections. The Newkirk Graduate Student Fellowship in Community-based Research is provided by a generous gift from Martha and Jim Newkirk.
