Research Justice Shop SPOTLIGHT

January 18, 2022 by Research Justice Shop

Introducing the RJS social media interns for 2022! Joseph Ruiz is in his first year of the Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning program, and Stephanie Guizar is in her second year of the Master Public Health program with an emphasis in Sociocultural Diversity and Health.

Joseph is originally from the Los Angeles Harbor region and started off at Los Angeles Harbor College and transferred to UCLA to earn his Bachelor’s Degree in History. He hopes to help make cities more environmentally friendly.

Stephanie is originally from Riverside, CA. She has a BA in Public Health Policy from the University of California, Irvine. She hopes to work in Public Health Communications with a focus in marketing to promote public health campaigns with the aim of providing underserved communities the knowledge they need to make informed decisions regarding their health.

Both Stephanie and Joseph will be posting about the community-engaged work coming out of the Research Justice Shop and working to increase RJS’s visibility and reach.
